This large, double room is one of the sunniest in the house. It has a walk-in shower room, ideal for older people and has the same stunning view as the White Room overlooking the Cathedral and ancient stone wall enclosing Romeland gardens but the sun seems to remain here for much of the day.
No wonder Sir Cliff Richard used to occupy this room during the sixties. He was patron of the Crusaders Charity which folk will remember as having a bookshop in what is now the Boys’ School Drama Studio. The adjoining Tankerfield House was used variously as offices, store rooms and accommodation.
